An ongoing debate in our great and diverse country is whether the law should be regarded as an official language: English. In the world, the United States has always been regarded as a country. Culture and ethnics are blending differently from any previous era. From the time of settlers, it is easy to notice the German Jagerhaus, British pubs, and Italian restaurants. Each has its own flavor and language. This big difference makes America unique.
However, there are some special events that suggest that such action should be included in the Constitution. "English campaign" is a political campaign that uses English as the sole official language in the United States and uses only English in the official affairs of the US government. And Donald Trump debated with Jeb Bush in Spanish in the United States on 16th September 2015. An article by Tessa Berenson in an article titled "Republican candidate quarreling in Spanish in this campaign," stated as follows. Governor Jeb Bush should write comments, for example, "Speak English in America." Mr. Trump said, "There is a country you have to speak English for assimilation. Over the years, we have many people who have said the same things for many years.
This English only campaign has caused discussions on economic and political unity, but these discussions are weak against immigration prevention and racist emotions. John Tanton, one of the first founder of the British movement in the 1980s, was a strong opposition to immigrants and repeatedly condemned by racist remarks. Today's sports continues to function. Recently, Senator Inhofe proposed "unified English law" in February. It is worth emphasizing that this law simply does not support English, and that the government refuses to use other languages. I think that the ability of Americans to use multiple languages is different from other countries in the world. This shows that the English-only movement covers up really deep things: a misunderstanding of building a community and making citizens truly citizens
Advocates of the British movement reminded the people that immigrants were able to learn English well in the past few years. In order to become a naturalized citizen, immigrants must understand English (Alter 24). So why will not they learn? They have to learn to communicate with the surrounding world. There are many things to consider when declaring the national official language. Where do you get money to teach immigrant English? Can anyone know how and how well they know enough English and who needs more help? My suggestion is to fund a program that helps the government to educate immigrant English with funds currently investing in bilingual government publications. There is sufficient basic English and it is necessary for the applicant to vote in English and to improve the English necessary to become a US citizen so that it can promote and carry out daily work.
