English-Medium Education

Bangladesh: In Bangladesh, there are many opportunities in English with abundant knowledge of English, so there seems to be an increasing number of people interested in secondary education in English. English middle school students tend to study Western literature, geography, history and so on. Although these schools have contributed to the rise of English, it is still believed that this type of education is gradually developing western culture that harms the culture and tradition of Bangladesh. EMI was rejected in some countries due to the desire to protect families and unify languages ​​and education systems. For example, it is reported that Israel, Senegal and Venezuela are resisting the spread of EMI in public education. This concern about the impact of EMI on the family's language is lost in academic use of the mother tongue as the latter is explained only in everyday communication and in ways not used in academic circles.
