In spring 2012 semester, we started an online trial version of the English 1A evaluation program approved by the UK Department in the fall of 2011. This project is based on research papers based on columns approved by Department of English. Following the gentle stimulation of Joe Gonzales, all 28 teachers who taught English 1A in spring attended the project as follows. Ahearn, Ayers, Buettner, Clanton, Coleman, Doell, Dominik, Duffert, Freedman, Girouard, Hamilton Hatch,
At the summer meeting of 2013, 16 of the 17 teachers who taught English 1A participated in the ongoing English 1A evaluation program. The results of the research paper will be reported based on the column score by category. A total of 389 points (77.8%) out of 500 students went below C and gained over the score (22.2%). The result was generally higher than usual semester, probably because the students were not so worried during summer vacation. For successful people, teachers often comment that the students seriously complete the assignment so that they can take the task seriously. Failure was primarily due to failure to comply with the specification and deadline of assignment, failure to use the correct reference form, and failure to proofread and edit.
In the last seven semesters, the overall pass rate of the English 1A access paper ranged from a maximum of 76% to a low of 58%, and the average pass rate was 65%. Several students who are passing through English 1A and are studying are not fully prepared to take English 1B and English 1D and other transfer courses. Regardless of face-to-face or online, create a small group of 1A teachers in English and set a two-hour period to qualify for Flex credits. Three short research papers (obvious past, obvious failures, and problems) will eventually comment on each other's issues and scores. In the quantification, let me first report the success rate of the student who is going to assign to each group. Collective performance is measured by
