International women's day celebrates women's social, economic, cultural and political achievements. The entrepreneurial spirit is perhaps the best tool to promote these outcomes and allows women to provide solutions and to perform innovation. In fact, 66% of our December / January batch is an independent women entrepreneur. Interestingly, the highest percentage of female entrepreneurs is low-income countries, especially Uganda and Bangladesh. According to the MasterCard 2017 Women Entrepreneur Index Report, in Asia, women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh make up 31.6% of all business owners. Despite the frustrating situation and the high barriers to entry, the report emphasizes that women in developing countries must start their business, not looking for potentially advantageous business opportunities .

GES is an excellent annual entrepreneurial assembly that gathers emerging entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters from all over the world. GES 2017 provides an environment in which innovators, especially women, can raise their thoughts to the next level. Through the two and half day networking, mentoring and seminars, entrepreneurs can take advantage of ideas, build partnerships, raise funds, innovate and find targeted customers. In the weeks leading up to GES, we advertised some of the most promising female entrepreneurs the US International Development Agency worked together.
