Millions of children around the world are abused each year. Child abuse is a global concern. Serious consequences are imposed on the child's victims and their effects often can not be tolerated. Child abuse is a serious underreporting error, but it is reported that it ignores most cases of child abuse (Pala, Ünalacak, & Ünlüoğlu, 2011). Child faults often give more serious consequences than other types of child abuse (DePanfilis, Children's Bureau and Child Abuse Agency, Neglect, 2006).
Ignoring affects children's perception, mood, behavior, exercise development, language and overall ability. According to Kiersten Wier's "Ignore Persistence" issued by the American Psychological Association, there are poor self-esteem, social withdrawal, impulsive management, theft, handling and regulation of emotional problems, pathological such as convulsions I lose your temperament including actions and hurt myself. Ignoring it, it may affect intellectual function and academic performance as well. People who did not attract the attention needed as a child may find it difficult to maintain a healthy relationship in the future.
Because it is primarily silent and intangible, emotional ignorance during childhood is a phenomenon that is almost ignored in psychology. Unlike physical ignorance or abuse, emotional ignorance often has no visible signs, so it is difficult to identify whether signs of bruising or children can not go to school is. More importantly, emotional ignorance is usually not recognized by children until symptoms begin to appear in adulthood. Emotional negligence takes a variety of forms until it becomes invalid until the child's emotional experience loses confidence from the parent's unrealistic high expectation or careless listening. If parents are emotionally inappropriate for children, there is no mirror and positive reflections are not shared with children. Therefore, cultivating positive self-awareness is more challenging for children.
