Emily White’s “High School’s Secret Life”

Emily White accepted the big challenge I said: trying to find a place where young students find their identity. While sitting in the high school cafeteria, she seemed to have guessed some very interesting observations that she believed her identity was believed to be social status and friends. White has never considered this a true view of her, but her way of drawing a group with a cafeteria seems to point out that this is her idea.

White represents a psychological image related to any reader. Emily White tells the girl about her lunch time. She told White about how recently changed the lunch break and how it completely changed the bond formed during the previous lunch. Emily White says, "Now she's just watching the crowd after school, there are so many stories I have never heard before, so many people are planning to exclude her" (16). This fully supports the idea that identity occurs in the social group of cafeteria and the time spent with others due to personal value and comfort. "The fate of the second lunch has changed ourselves as a girl with a friend" (16). During the first lunch she was uncomfortable when she got disappeared from the environment familiar to the girl and contact with friends was minimal, she showed almost uneasiness, not part of the plan.

Throughout the article, White pointed out a diverse group, but when she mentioned about drama children, a group that resonated and left a clear image in mind. All the actors came and she observed that they were "good at expressing confidence and being always good at importing and exporting" (p. 18). I remember sitting in the cafeteria during my freshman year and seeing all the particularly noisy and confident students tend to be with each other. Ironically, I discovered that they were students of theater later! Humans are seeking friendliness among their friends and seem to be looking for someone who they are.

Personally I do not think this is perfectly effective in the evaluation, but I believe that White has taken a good approach to examine the number of students who find their identity in high school. A lot of time

High school may be a very interesting time for many teenagers. This is a very interesting time, it is a very difficult time. Emily White's 'secret life in high school' counts the daily social interactions of many struggling teenagers in the outskirts of Seattle. Most of this article is used to explain the social situation of Capellia. Emily explains the cafeteria as a social "testing place" for students (page 15). White's view of observing and explaining these daily exchanges is that high schools may find it difficult to test their identity. For students, depending on the time of lunch break you are in, the appearance of friends you think may be destroyed soon. Emily said the cafeteria as "the zero point of school", the environment is "opportunity game" (16th page)). The description of the life of these students sounds very difficult, but accurate for many dangerous high school students. In these tribes, the identity of everyone is highly questionable.

Emily White's "Secret Life in High School" evaluates the student group of Calhoun High School in Seattle, Washington based on the behavior during another lunch break. White mentioned in the biography at the beginning of several journal articles that wrote through his career, such as the magazines "Spin Magazine", "Country Voice", "Los Angeles Weekly" (White 15), but I I have never heard of it. Do not think that when evaluating adolescence, she can be regarded as a reliable source of information. White provided several advantages when linking the hybrid of students at the restaurant to the social conventions of primitive tribes, but the assumption she did should not be based on student lunch break eccentric completely I think. Even after graduating from high school, I still remember the fresh stories I experienced in the cafeteria. And it can be said that some of her generalization is reality. But such a small example does not work for everyone.
