We all need at least one or two best friends. A boy defines a friend as "a person you like as you know you". Ralph Waldo Emerson said "Friends can be regarded as masterpieces of nature." This view: "When the whole world leaves, friends come in first." Solomon writes in Proverbs 17: 17: "My friends always love you." I can not improve this definition. Applying a loyal person to us under all circumstances is one of the best wishes in life. When the burden of life has a serious impact on us, there is an urgent need for support and encouragement that only close friends can offer. Of course, Jesus dedicated his life to his friends, so he is the ultimate friend (John 15: 13).
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882): Thoreau's best friend and colleague, Emerson is the leader of transcendental movement. At the same time, he is also an author and his work "Nature" (1836) embodies the transcendental philosophy. In his article titled "Independence" (1841), Emerson is known as his excellent person in the American history of the 19th century (ibid). Established in 1941, the Thoreau Association is the oldest and largest nonprofit organization targeting American writers. Its main work is "to acknowledge Henry David Thoreau by stimulating interests and cultivation of his life, work and philosophy" (The Walden "The Thoreau").
