Elliott Hundley (born 1975 in Greensboro, North Carolina [1]) is an American artist living and working in Los Angeles.
In 2005 I got a master's degree in painting and painting from the University of California Los Angeles and a bachelor's degree in printmaking at Rhode Island Design University in 1997. In 2002 he also attended School of Painting and Sculpture in Scowigan and received a scholarship from the Fine Arts Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the Vermont Studio Center in Omaha, Nebraska and the Bemisse Contemporary Art Center.
Hendry's work is exhibited at the Daniel Reich Museum in New York, the Andrea Rosen Museum in New York, and various venues in Los Angeles. Hundley participated in the LAXed exhibition held at Hammer Museum in May 2006 at Peres Projects Berlin in April 2006. Elliott Hundley is an abstract painter of contemporary America and an installation artist. Mixed media paintings and sculptures created by Hendry consist of original materials and discovered materials. Hundley was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1975 and received formal training at Rhode Island Design University and the University of California. His combination is reminiscent of Robert Rauschenberg's collage technology and Marcel Duchamp's conceptual sculpture. About his work, Mr. Hendry said, "Fortunately, the form itself is so flexible that you can place something and cancel it while processing it." Many of his works also include Greek tragedies, classical myths, and prints of Japanese prints. He also takes immediate pictures, generates images for his multi-panel screen, and plays the role of friends and family from ancient and other various sources.
