The increase in e-commerce and the use of the Internet and the strengthening of online security of transactions and confidential information are central to the penetration of online banking in daily life (Papers 4 you.com, 2006). According to the latest official data of the US Census Bureau (ONS, 2006), the number of Internet subscriptions increased from 15 million in 2000 to 35 million in 2005, more than 50%. It is estimated that 60% of the UK population is using the Internet in daily life.
Bangladesh Bank has achieved a historic milestone in trade and commerce, recently introduced e-commerce, withdrew from traditional banking work and made significant progress towards digital Bangladesh. Banks are permitted to carry out online currency transactions, to pay utility fees via the Internet, to fund accounts, to pay for goods and services, and to pay online credit cards in local currency. In fact, electronic payment is treated as a cash transaction and is regulated under the Anti-Money Laundering Act and other related regulations and regulations. It is expected that a domestic payment gateway will soon be established to connect all banks for interbank transactions (e-banking transactions). Electronic remittances will also be realized in the near future
