Effects of Isolation in "The Scarlet Letter"

Red letters may affect people in various ways. For example, it may affect the human body and emotions. Quarantine greatly affects people in various areas of life. Hester is affected both mentally and physically. In Nasaniel's red letter, Hawthorne was alienated, isolated, physically emotional as red letters were written in her chest. Hester was affected by the isolation of the mind and body.

In "Red Letter", Nathaniel Hawthorne is investigating the influence of alienation and isolation in the dark which kills Puritans. These influences are largely negative; one of the themes of this book is that alienation and isolation find true happiness and do not contribute to achieving true moral relief. Among the "deficits", the hero shows the negative impact these social isolations can have on people. After her adultery and corruption, Hester Prine was lonely living in the suburbs of Boston.
