Effects of Hunger on Social, Physical, and Emotional Functioning of Today's Adolescents

Introduction The U.S. government collects data for these people throughout the year to effectively provide materials for those who are concerned about food. In 2008, the data reported by the US Department of Agriculture showed a marked change in the number of people with food shortages compared with the previous year, and approximately 49.1 million people, including 16.7 million children, were in short supply of households I found out that I live in. Khan, Pinkckney, Keeney, Frankowski & Carney, 2010). The population of food insecurity in 2007 was only 11.1%, but in 2012 it was about 14.5% who came to food insecurity (Coleman-Jensen, Nord & Singh, 2013).

Food anxiety and hunger are common public health problems in the US today. According to the 2010 hunger survey, an estimated 37 million Americans are experiencing hunger. Hunger is an epidemic that poses many health hazards and poses a threat to the future of the country. Of 37 million hungry Americans, 16.7 million are children. Children are the future of this country, the increase in hunger and poverty affects their physical and mental health and development and has an adverse effect on the economy (Coleman-Jensen, Alisha & Nord, Mark, 2012)).

Child abuse is a common concern in today's society and is often misunderstood or ignored. Children of all social classes and age are subjected to periodic physical, mental and sexual abuse. Adolescents are often subjected to physical and emotional influences due to parental abuse. Children are concerned about their families and parents, fear of abuse and negligence. This abuse is understood primarily as being in an uneducated or unfortunate parent's house. - "A woman is beaten every 9 seconds in the USA" (American Bar Association). Let's think how many women are hit by a day or forced to do unpleasant behavior. Some women are abused in the US every 9 seconds. Now, let's think about how many people were abused or killed in this country on a global scale.
