Effective Auditorium Desing

The Audit Design Auditorium is designed to effectively project sounds behind the Auditorium so that distant listeners do not experience the extreme level of loss caused by the inverse square law. This projection is usually accomplished by having a sufficiently long reverberation time. The inverse square rule is an arbitrary physical law indicating that the specified physical quantity or intensity is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the physical source.

Scofield Auditorium is the largest fixed seat space on campus. Until 1960, the auditorium was called the All Domain Auditorium and was part of the building of Eau Claire State Normal School originally opened in 1916. From acapella concerts to lectures, lectures, artist series, forums, everything is possible at this venue.
