Education for Liberation

For example, the Engineering Technology Certification Board (ABET) accreditation standards are equally divided between professional content and liberal education.

The curriculum and requirements of liberal education have changed over the years, but the broad objectives of liberal education are sustained. Today, liberal education usually includes a general education program that provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary and knowledgeable approach, and more detailed research on professionals. Through LEAP, AAC and U define a powerful set of "basic learning outcomes" that students develop through liberal education in the 21st century. Starting from school and continuing studying at a high-level university, students can prepare for responsible citizenship and the world economy by achieving basic learning outcomes

Liberal education is an educational philosophy that gives power to individuals, releases them from ignorance, and fosters a sense of social responsibility. Liberal education involves courses including general education, provides a wide range of interdisciplinary knowledge for students, and performs thorough research in at least one field or focused field. Many high school students positively respond to this definition, and most of them hope to enroll in universities offering such education. However, many of these students do not know whether most universities are currently offering free education. Not all but the participants of most universities say on the other hand that their schools offer this type of education
