Education Equity Project in the News

The Education Equity Program uses our regional attorney model to collaborate with local leaders, students and families affected by the unfair school closing program promoted by the Chicago Public School (CPS). In December 2017, CPS officially announced the closure of the National Elementary School, the National Teachers College (NTA) serving low-income African-American students, and the closure of the existing four Englewood schools. To challenge these unfair school practices, our employee lawyers, in collaboration with LAF and the Chicago Fair Alliance (CUE), support meaningful community participation in community meetings and hearings, and suggested actions To evaluate the impact on racial equity.

Updated in February 2018: CPS tolerate some community concern and abolish three Englewood high schools in three years instead of immediately closing all four high schools at next year's school I announced, but I will continue the work. The mayor collaborated with the Living City and the Ethnic and Capital Government Alliance to emphasize the racial equality of the city and to create racial equality shots of each city division. University of Pennsylvania: The Institute for Educational Ethnic and Equal Education at the University of Pennsylvania is learning important topics on race, racial discrimination, ethnic culture, and equity education. Center staff and affiliated companies are working on the creation of funded research projects, environmental assessment activities, and research reports. The main objective of this center is to publicize the cutting edge impact on educational policy and educational practice, with a clear focus on improving the social environment that affects the equity of schools, universities, universities, and educational outcomes is.

This research is part of a larger research project that examines the role of fairness in the practice of mathematical teacher educators. This research project is trying to reveal the challenges facing teacher educators in injecting fairness into the three methodologies taught in the mathematics education section of the university.
