Education and Women’s Social Roles

Education and women's social and social expectations define the role of their members. Many factors influence the individual's role in their culture and community, but education is always an important element in building social roles. Education will trigger the role of women in society from the late nineteenth century to the present state. In the latter part of the nineteenth century, the role of women in American society grew gradually but obviously, driven by rapid social change.

In the 1920s, the role of women in American society dramatically changed. In the past few decades, women's fields have taken care of her family at home, but in the 1920s women pursued education, politics, and a career outside the home. "Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald effectively shows how women in this period are involved with society. - Please be careful - numerous feminists are approaching - hiding "great Gatsby". In 1987, "Great Gatsby" written by F. Scott Fitzgerald challenged his dislike for women. Since then, this book has been controversial. Many critics believe Fitzgerald's apparent anti-feminist position in the novel is disturbing most women, but many high schools believe this book to the reading list for their comments on social issues included.

Women's rights activists have influenced this country, thinking that women are the same as men, changed the social role of traditional women. In the 1800s her husband had legitimate power against his wife. In a sense, he owns her so women have little respect for their culture. However, as women pursue equal rights, many men are beginning to regard women as equality. This gained greater respect in their culture. An example of the social change that occurs as a result of women's rights movement is that she retains her maiden name even after Lucy Stone got married. Fifty years before the women's rights movement began, such small incidents were not allowed in the community. When women struggled for women 's rights in the 1800' s, the social role of women began to change slowly.

It was a female peak in the 1800s. Changes in the social situation of women in the early 1800s coupled with the concept of equality led to the birth of women's election campaign. For example, women began to receive more education and participated in reform campaigns such as abolition, so they could participate in politics. Slavery was not unusual in America in the 19th century, especially in the south, in the United States. Slavery is the way people live in this era. But this is a controversial topic. Treatment of slaves is very tough to try to escape and loosen. Black women are encouraged to give birth to many children so that owners can get more labor. Slaves are often not entitled at all, and in many cases slaves are not even considered human beings. However, in the nineteenth century, several people, including women, stood up and expressed their views on abuse and suffering that slaves have to endure throughout their lives.
