The American educational system has long been a cause of disagreement in the United States. Indeed, there is an ideology of isolating rhetoric from the classroom itself. I read the two courses of James Beane and Micheal Apple's "Democratic Scool Case" and Paulo Freire's repressive education and studied the major literary problems, problems, and suggested solutions I will. In the second part, I will learn another American educational model written by Deborah Meier and Paul Schwarz, "Central Park East Middle School: Hard part is realized".
(A) Education and democracy, and (b) pursuit of happiness. Education and democracy Dewey often returns to Plato and Greeks in his educational activities. Plato is the starting point for many problems in the development of philosophy as a history of thought and academics. Plato is the product of his career. Plato's society creates a class hierarchy that individuals are subordinate to larger groups. Plato could not see the static nature and his ideals of his society. Ironically, democracy improves the quality of education and provides education to more people regardless of the place of social life (Dewey, 1916)
In 1916, John Dewey wrote another powerful book written in the framework of how education meets social needs. A book titled "Democracy and Education" defines democracy as a way of defining culture. Dewey considers democracy as a way of government, allowing members of society to enjoy freedom in organized civilization. He refers to a country that does not use technology and mass elections to call themselves "barbarians." According to Michael Boucher's study on the capstone project, this book was written during the First World War and promised to end all wars. Child labor has created unprecedented needs for urban schools that were previously unnecessary, and these children are learning new skills in a new non-agricultural society (1998). The events of the world at the time definitely influenced Dewey's work and helped to promote his philosophy.
