The story is focused on learning experiences of the narrator Charlie is an eleven-year-old boy trapped in his grandmother's farm. Through Charlie's natural ability of sex, sex, violence and power, Charlie changed him from observer to participant in his adult world. At the beginning of the story, Charlie lives in the house and is strictly observing the world around him. As Charlie is constantly sick, her mother often gives him much illness.
