Ed Kreiman was born in 1932 and grew up at the northern tip of Winnipeg. After that, he went to the University of Manitoba where he got a BA in literature. Six years later he got a master's degree from the University of Toronto. He then returned to Winnipeg where he served as a lecturer and associate professor at the Department of English at the University of Manitoba. While I was in college, he wrote two short stories. The first of them is "immortal" published in 1980, the second is "new discovery ecstasy" published in 1988. After retiring in 1996, Kleinman published his third book, The World Batter.
