Easter Island Essay

Easter Island was once a shelter of residents. It also gives them all the need, food, dwelling, tools and even the ability to create amazing art work. They abused the garden of Eden and converted it into a less natural disaster. This is going to happen to us as our planet and Easter Island were once the same Eden.

Easter Island people come to their new lands and understand the ideal choice for their settlement. Land is lush and there are many fresh fish and other seafood in the sea. The earth is dark brown and very rich. Everything is just a way to support the growing crowd

Due to excessive cultivation, the soil is losing its strong growth. In recent years, there are not so many seabirds in memory. Slowly but surely their lifestyle is decreasing like a slowly fading flame. They can not see their endings directly, but it is close. When their main population finally left, it suffocated and went out. They slowly and quietly left their beloved fern tree. It is because all the things necessary to maintain the ecosystem, such as ferns, trees used to make ropes, birds they use, and hunting are lost. Everything is gone now because they can not replenish themselves in sufficient time to meet the needs of people.

This will be a rude awakening for us. This planet can be thought of as Easter Island. We have a potential unsustainable ecosystem. If not careful, it will be like an inhabitant of the island. We can use everything so that our children have nothing to use. Looking at progress over the past 300 years in North America, you can see that many natural resources have been eliminated. The trees of the northwest, the plains of the Midwest, and wetlands of Florida have all been destroyed by humans during the past several centuries. Our grandparents will not notice this damage and they will not notice

Easter Island is a small volcanic island located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean between Chile and Tahiti. Until the island became colonized more than 1,300 years ago, it was a small insect and seabird inhabited. In the year AD, Easter Island was colonized by a group of Polynesian crew members. It is this social story that aroused great interest and controversy about what happened on Easter Island many years ago. About 1600 years ago, it is said that King Khotomatua landed on Anachina Beach on the northern coast of Easter Island. Nearby, he founded the first settlement, as indicated by the numerous building foundations in the area and a large number of stone statues (known as Moai). Over time, Polynesian settlers moved to various parts of the island, and in the process they formed their own distinct tribes.

It is thought that residents of Polynesia on Easter Island arrived in Easter Island around 1200 AD. They created a prosperous and diligent culture with many huge stones and other relics on the island. However, the cultivation of the land and the introduction of rats in Polynesia led to a gradual deforestation. By the time it arrived in Europe in 1722, the island's population was estimated at 2,000 - 3,000. Tahiti such as European diseases, Peruvian slavery attacks in the 1860s, and immigrants to other islands: further depleted the population and in 1877 it decreased to a low level of 111 local residents in 1877.

The original killer of Easter Islanders came to the sea. Since 1722, explorers came to Easter Island to bring their diseases home and to go fashion. Syphilis first appeared in the bones of local people. But the last blow happened in 1862, a slave merchant landed from Peru and brought 1,500 people, one third of the population. With the exception of 15 people, it was shipped to South America within one year, and everyone else died. They were taken to their homes. The islanders rarely know what they have returned. By 1877, there were only 111 smallpox epidemics.
