"Odyssey" is an epic composed of early Greek narrator Homer. This epic is the foundation of Greek and Roman education. Epic is a long poem characterized by adventure. The epic hero is a magnificent hero. A magnificent hero is a tall person, probably history and legend. The most outstanding qualities of magnificent heroes are often the most important qualities of a grand society. The main character of this epic is Odysseus. Odysseus is trying to find his hometown hero at Sophocles' Oedipus King ',' Homer's Odyssey 'and Tan' s "The Joy Luck Club". In world literature, there are two types of prototype main character, a mythical hero and a tragic hero. Like Homer's Odysseus, the mythical hero represents a combination of superhuman virtue and human imperfection. These qualities create a supernatural adventure with a realistic character. Mythological heroes are endorsed by the power of God to ultimately reach a specific goal or complete a journey

From the beginning Roman literature was deeply influenced by Greek writers. Some of the earliest work we have is a historical epic about Roman early military history, as well as Greek epic stories of Homer, Herodotus, Thucydides. Virgil is generally considered to be the poet of Augustus, which represents the apex of Roman epic. His Aeneid talked about escape from Aeneas Troy and his settlement as a city of Rome. As the Republic expanded, the author began to produce poetry, comedy, history, and tragedy. Lucretius tried to explain science with his Dererum natura epic. The type of satire is also common in Rome, but the satire work is written by Juvenal and Persius.
