Early experiences with family conflict: implications for arguments with a close friend.

In this study, we examined the relationship between conflicts between families in early childhood and subsequent conflict management with close friends. Thirty-seven children interacted with their mothers and older brothers and sisters in 33 months and had friends with them for 72 months. Discussion on the use of infants is irrelevant to the behavior when there is controversy with a friend. But the discussion that mothers and brothers and sisters use taking into account the needs of children is in positive relationship with the subsequent use of children in constructive discussions and solutions. Mothers are focusing on their needs and using discussions that are negatively correlated with these results. These associations are unrelated to the global characteristics of parent-child relationship and sibling relationship. In addition, the mother used this argument to predict the child's subsequent conflict management, independent of the child's initial controversial model, emotional understanding and language fluency.

The second major problem closely related to the situation in the family of women is the structural conflict between family and society as a whole from every social system. Rosaldo (this volume) delicately proposes the influence of "domestic / public opposition" to the status of women, and I would like to show the relevance to the current discussion. Domestic unit - Biofamily responsible for copying and socializing new members of society - Relationship of social alliance - concept of public organization - is the basis of Lévi - Strauss' assertion in the basic structure of relatives (1969 a) . Levi-Strauss not only believes that such opposition exists in every social system, but also believes that there is an opposite meaning between nature and culture.
