E. B. White was the author of Charlotte Network, Stewart Little, and Swan Trumpet and was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He graduated from Cornell University in 1921 and joined the staff of New Yorker magazine five or six years later. E, B White has written over 17 books about prose and poetry and was elected the American Academy of Art and Arts in 1973. In addition to writing children's books, EB White writes adult books, writes poems and essays, and writes sketches. Mr. White lives on a farm in Maine where he keeps animals. Some of them have appeared in his stories and books like Stuart Little's Stuart and Charlotte's Charlotte. After all, as E.B. White said, "I like animals, my barn is always a very fun place!"
