Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore the role of desktop role-playing game (TRPG) in developing adolescent young people 's interest in reading. In addition, this research aims to determine the roles or roles that educators should play in developing young students' game culture. To answer these questions, seven people who played TRPG as a teenager were influenced by past and present interests of TRPG, reading habits of past and present leisure, and playing TRPG on their literacy ability I learned about. This study will allow at least one literacy capacity to be improved by all participants playing the TRPG and the depth and breadth of the TRPG's experience will increase the participation of some participants in actual or perceived reading or conversation It helps to overcome difficulties. Skills In most cases, playing TRPG also allows for more casual reading. However, TRPG does not seem to affect the type of participants' reading, people who have read fantasy before understand the connection seen in TRPG, others are interested in reading of their own Do not see the relevant TRPG. Several participants believe that their school education and TRPG's interests overlap, but I do not believe that anyone needs to actively participate in encouraging students to make educators play TRPG games .

Desktop role-playing games are translated into various electronic formats. Like the release of "Dragon and Dungeon", as early as 1974, the unlicensed version was developed on mainframe university systems like dnd and dungeon. These early computer RPGs affected all video games and created a role-playing video game type. Some authors divide the digital role playing game into two groups, single player game using RPG style mechanism and multiplayer game incorporating social interaction.
