Today is our national hero's birthday. Doctor, painter, poet, novelist, world traveler, lover and nationalist Dr. Jose Rizal. Since Rizal has a global perspective, he is considered to be bigger than Apolinario Mabini. Rizal has studied various cultures and systems that speak German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, English. Rizal is larger than General Emilio Aguinaldo because he can prove that this pen is certainly stronger than the sword throughout his novel.

Many of our millenniums today do not really know who Rizal is. They know many symbolic superheroes and they are not aware that the Philippines is a very wonderful person. Rizal, once known as the best Malay in history, has been respected by Muslim Filipinos, Malaysians, and Indonesians. Many Muslim men are named after him. Rizal has written over 20 poems. They are all about loving our country and preparing to die for it. At home and abroad, Rizal is always at the highest level of that class. He is a profound thinker and he has earned respect for others because he can talk about many concepts, ideas, and philosophies that can not even be seen by others.

In his era, there is no Internet, photocopier, mobile phone. He had to learn under the flashing light of the kerosene lamp. He is a greedy reader, a researcher who does not get tired.
