Dr. Jose P. Rizal was born on June 19, 1861 in Calaba, Laguna. He advocated the Philippine reform with the support of the Spanish colonial authorities, which resulted in his death at the age of 36. He was executed in Bagan Bayan, Manila, now known as Reneta on 30th December 1896.
