Down Syndrome: Hereditary Disease Every year in the United States about 13 out of every 10,000 babies are born with Down Syndrome, also known as Trisomy 21 (Johnson). As "the most common genetic cause of chromosomal abnormalities and mental retardation" Down's syndrome affects men and women and all different races (Johnson). In other words, Down's syndrome does not show preference for a specific gender or race. Unfortunately, people suffering from Down's syndrome have experienced many problems in their lifetime, which limits their quality of life and health.

Down syndrome (Down syndrome) is a hereditary disorder that can cause some degree of learning disability and unique physical characteristics. There are three types of Down Syndrome, and I will tell them separately as trisomy 21, translocation and mosaic. These are chromosomal variations that cause Down's syndrome. Down syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality caused by cell division abnormality. This is a person who has three copies of chromosome 21 instead of two normal copies. This disease causes disorders of mental and physical development, ranging from mild to moderate developmental disorders.

Hereditary diseases include Turner's syndrome, Down's syndrome, and achondroplasia. Turner syndrome means that health problems are caused by excessive chromosomes, too little, or confusion. This is a common genetic disorder that occurs only in girls. It does not cause bad growth, late or puberty. Turner's syndrome occurred in one out of 2,500 women. It is caused by the missing X chromosome. Down syndrome is another common genetic disorder that causes poor growth and short stature. It comes from extra chromosome 21. Chondrogenic dysfunction is the most common hereditary bone disease. Children's arms and legs may shorten. It also leads to big heads and other functions

Down syndrome is a hereditary disorder that causes mental retardation, facial deformity, and muscle tone reduction. This disease occurs on chromosome 21. This is an example of what happens when trinity occurs. Because of the extra chromosome, the case of Down's syndrome does not have 46 chromosomes and has 47 chromosomes. 95% of cases with Down's syndrome are due to trisomy. The other five are translocations and mosaics. At translocation, there are still three chromosomes 21, one of which is connected to a different type of chromosome. This happens in the case of about 3% to 4%. Mosaic occurs only in 1% of all cases of Down's syndrome. Failure of cell division is an early stage after the concept, in most cases before pregnancy. In this type of defect, only a few cells are affected by an additional 21 chromosomes. The ratio of trisomy to normal cells determines the severity of Down's syndrome
