I want to know more about his contribution to my country. Douglas MacArthur is one of the three sons of Arthur MacArthur and Mary Pinkney. Arthur is a lieutenant officer and he also won the Medal of Honor during the American Civil War. Douglas was born on 26th January 1880 in Little Rock, Arkansas. After spending the youths in New Mexico, he moved to Kansas and then to Washington DC, where his father worked at the Department of Defense.
