Don't Forget About Me

It is usually related to Simple Minds' "Do Not You (Forget About Me)". The two most famous lyrics of the song are "Please do not forget me" and "When you pass by, do you call my name?" These lyrics refer to the world outside the detention and "breakfast club". Whether questions about the future and social groups in higher education will continue or destroy the friendship formed during detention. At the end of the movie, the real personality of each character is revealed. From this point of view, each student represents a different social group, but they all face the same problem as teenagers. Each student accomplishes all stereotypes in some way and they collectively recognize that their "tags" are likely to be broken by their own will. This idea is summarized in the reference at the beginning of the movie.

Sometimes I will forget how lucky I am. I forgot about comfort and redundancy. I forgot the freedom. I forgot the ability to pay for my own things, I abandoned it. Even though it's been a while, I forgot that some people are excited about my shoes. On the contrary, when I am thankful, I slap the face from time to time. How selfish is this? How ridiculous is complaining about my wonderful privileged life. It is raining outside but what about it? I am very dry. There is snow in the forecast. what do you think it is? I am very warm. Somewhere, someone is suffering. I am very comfortable and someone is hungry. I find myself sometimes paying attention to discomfort points. Everything you need is complete. Why am I complaining? I will not answer this question. Instead, I will spend some time considering how lucky this morning.
