Don Quixote

MIGUEL DE CERVANTES SAAVEDRA was born in Madrid near Spain in Alcaladéenares in 1547. He did not know anything about his education, but as he got older he entered the army as a private soldier. He became permanently disabled in the battle of Lepanto and was caught by the Moor on his way home in 1575. After five years of slavery, he was redeemed and after two or three years he returned to Spain.

There are basically two different kinds of Castile in Don Quixote. The old Castile is only Don Quixote, but the rest of the characters speak contemporary Spanish. The old Castilla of Don Quixote is a humorous resource - he copied the language used in his crazy knight's books; many times he can not comprehend him because of his language when he spoke It is too old.
