Domestication of Other Wild Animals

In the domestication of wolves, we know today's dogs, playful, colored coats and soft ears of howls and I like it. Interestingly, when experimenting with silver foxes, these same properties appeared after domestication. Russian geneticist Belyaev conducted an experiment by cultivating a reindeer. Belyaev cultivated a reindeer in his twenties until the fox became more like a fox than a dog. As there is no manual selection in the wild, domestication of dogs will definitely take longer.

Wild animals can not tame. Domestication requires thousands of years of selective breeding. Even animals born under breeding or animals raised by hand remain wild. All environmental and behavioral needs are born and live in the wild. In addition, they are still unpredictable. Wild animals can never be expected to be like domestic dogs and cats; they will eventually adopt natural instincts that they are difficult or unmanageable. Wild animals are dangerous. This cute baby can grow into feces, bite, battle monkey, it is stronger than anyone - pound - pound. Every year people are killed and harmed by captured wild animals. Even though wild pets can be handled by the owner, think about what can happen if an emergency occurs and the rescuer enters the house or runs away from the animal.

Domesticated animals can not survive in the wild. That is totally wrong. In fact, domesticated animals are one of the most surviving animals, breeding in creative ways in their own unfriendly environment (wild cats, horses, pigs). This is the reason why we do not release large breeders who do not rehabilitate. In many cases wild livestock has caused extinction of various wild animals. Domesticated animals see humans as part of their social structure. Not only social mammals and birds but also lonely animals such as Ooyama cats and tigers will be linked to owners at the same level as the domestic cats as long as they are raised by hand. Alternatively, a domestic cat not kept by hand will not accept human ownership like wild animals.

Generally speaking, when we say something is a wildlife, we mean that it is an animal that is naturally independent of human life. Meanwhile, domesticated animals are mild animals that are closely related to people and often depend on people's food, evacuation centers, even drugs, so often they can not survive in the wild. Likewise, wildlife will become quiet and may be closely related to people. All orphans' wolves, hippopotamus, and even elephants have all been rescued and raised. The same applies to breeding programs that make wild foxes very obedient for generations. Foxes, wolves, hippos and elephants may be treated as common wild animals, but they may be bred under special circumstances.
