Distributive justice in the workplace: Emerging social work interventions

Following frequent corporate mergers, downsides and restructuring, today's workers face increasing threats such as unemployment, employment insecurity and lack of employment opportunities. In this article, we will explore how US corporate and social work experts are responding to the impact of current workplace confusion, worker deportation, and distribution justice on individuals and businesses. Emphasis is placed on the historical development of the role of EAP social workers and contribution to the distribution of justice in the workplace. What came from this discussion is a comprehensive model that combines EAP and organization development (OD). Rawls' research led to much more general research on distributed justice and social justice, but in recent years various strategies emerged focusing on justice as a personal virtue.
