In the 1970s and 1980s, Walt Disney World gained a lot of attention from the company. In 1978, Disney executives announced plans to open the second Walt Disney World Theme Park EPCOT Center in October 1982. Inspired by the dream-like modern model city of Walt Disney, the EPCOT Center was built as a "permanent world exposition" in exhibitions sponsored by other country cultural pavilions and major US companies . In Japan, the Oriental Land Company partnered with Walt Disney Production Company and established the first Disney theme park outside of Tokyo Disneyland, which opened in April 1983. Despite succeeding in creating Disney Channel and its new theme park, the production of Walt Disney is economically fragile. The movie library is valuable, but at the moment it rarely succeeds and its leadership team can not keep up with other studios, especially the works of Don Bras who exiled to Disney in 1979.
