Reality TV has become a new trend for television programmers, and has been widely criticized for its value, influence, ethics, credibility. However, this type of program is almost everywhere on American television. There is one thing that is common to all these programs, whether survivors, siblings, the real world, or the Jersey Coast. In other words, real people can realize screen experience by placing viewers in real situation. This article provides a summary of two or three paragraphs of the views and survey results of five different academic journal articles on reality shows, such as the topics people see, the hidden values, and the audience impact.
According to another survey by Lisa K. Lundy in 2008, the researchers gathered 34 participants and conducted four groups to discuss the social consequences of reality television. Therefore, the comment on the word "reality show" is different. In fact, most participants believe that real television is an escape, an attractive phenomenon, or immorality. Like Lundy, Jaime Riccio, a student at Syimecuse University, developed a focus group. In this study, Riccio concluded that the real show caused problems for people, especially for the younger generation.
