Discrimination Against Women in Pakistani Society

Discrimination against women in Pakistani society celebrates International Women's Day (IWD) on March 8. The main purpose of compliance is to respect the rights of women all over the world. This year, I had the opportunity to witness a celebration of IWD by the Women's Working Group (WGW) of Aga Khan University. On the other hand, I am honored to be a woman, seeing women contributing to society. Meanwhile, I am suffering from the discrimination faced by women in their daily lives.

How society treats women is one of the most powerful indicators of social success and health. Discrimination against women and girls takes various forms through gender violence, economic discrimination, inequity in reproductive health, and harmful traditional practices. It is also an important decline in the birthrate of the population and there is a strong correlation between education and socio-economic development.

In times when women can take care of themselves, they can own property and enforce the law. Even after their rights were deprived by the arrival of Europeans in 1462. Women can not control themselves, can not possess property, and have no political rights. They continue to have a major impact on the construction of the US government.
