Find a discourse community that you are interested in whether you are interested. You may be a member of the discourse community; you may be an outsider. For our purposes, the discourse community can be any group that sees itself as a group. Some possibilities include church groups, friendship or girls fraternity, clubs or teams, social organizations, scholarly or professional organizations. As your goal is to make an interesting and insightful analysis of the conversation community, you will use this material to gather from your observations and interviews. The analysis is a description of all the information you collect. Learn what you have learned in the conversation community and tell it to the reader.
In order to help you learn and explore the concept of the discourse community, you do discourse community ethnography. Please choose two discourse communities that are interesting to you or to you. A preliminary research question is proposed: "What is the purpose and characteristics of this discourse community?" Find the first answer to this research question for the two chosen discourse communities, 5 (6) - Write a report on page 6 (6). I will investigate the community in detail and answer survey questions. We will also analyze similarities and differences between the two selected discourse communities.
