Discipline Teaches a Child to Follow the Rules

I have three children, I can tell you that they are very different. That said, I discovered that it is unique to decide which kind of training is effective for each child. My older daughter does not like being kicked out because she has to stay in action. Therefore, a good penalty for her breaching the rules is to give her time. Meanwhile, my son likes to be alone. I will send him back to his room and you will notice that he can not be happy with playing with his toys.

Discipline is the process of teaching children what kind of behavior is accepted and what kind of behavior can not be accepted. In other words, discipline teaches the children to follow the rules. Effective discipline uses a variety of tools, including aggressive strengthening, modeling, and considerate supportive families. Sometimes punishment is also an effective tool - but it does not mean that good discipline is mainly punishment. Sounds simple, but all parents are frustrated over and over again due to disciplinary problems with children.

Many teachers "challenge" children in the classroom. The lack of discipline at home means that children from such environments will become difficult to independently follow rules, guidelines and expectations.
