The purpose of this report is to study the learning of the four research methods in the group. To better understand each research method, the team studied and discussed each method. In this personal report, two research methods for behavioral research and content analysis will be discussed and discussed. Each form of research, including information from references, textbooks, websites, or academic papers, and instructions on how to use this method in an information service environment, is described below.
Please choose your approach: Different research methods introduce different selective bias. Some of them may jeopardize particular research objectives in particular. For example, if you need to hear from a truly busy person, choose a way to provide feedback based on people's time rather than letting you attend an hourly interview at your office. Maybe you really like interviews. However, interview data obtained from people in remote areas may be worse than feedback from diary survey obtained from the right people.
As a UX designer, we design digital products that people interact. When designing these products, we spend a lot of time investigating various investigation methods to understand the user's behavior, customs, and needs. However, there are several functions that are common patterns. In order to use consciously, it is necessary to understand the process of human recognition. Distracting attention: If the process is automatic, more processes can occur at the same time. A great example of every day is to speak while driving at the same time. As we can only pay attention to one action at the same time, if something happens on the road before the driver, the driver will stop talking and concentrate on driving. Attention will concentrate at this moment. In other words, attention is limited to one object, movement, or stimulation.
There are different advantages and disadvantages for each of the theoretical theory and social investigation in various ways. Various types of methods can be used in various fields. Researchers who choose different research methods may mean that they have different research ideas and goals. At the same time, the choice and use of the method may be influenced by the research subject and attributes. The necessary condition to obtain valuable research results is an appropriate combination of research purpose and method.
Case Studies - Case studies are often included in the Research Methods page, but they are not really a single research method in practice. The case study approach uses various survey methods (such as interviews, observations, self-reported questionnaires, etc.). Researchers explained the importance of data in the research field. Therefore, the case study is a methodology, not a methodology.
