Differences between Chinese and American Weddings

Wedding flowers, diamond rings, vowels: These are all essential to the traditional American wedding. Because they all symbolize the feelings of love, this is the basis of American marriage. But in China, love is not the basis of marriage, this symbol does not exist as seen in traditional Chinese wedding. In today's society, the Chinese wedding ceremony is integrated into the American wedding legacy. Many Chinese have adapted to American society and have changed their traditional way into a more modern way. There are few Chinese-Americans wearing traditional Chinese clothes. On special occasions, please wear some traditional costumes. Many Chinese have to wait until they are nearly 30 years old before getting married.
