The literal meaning of "Renaissance" is "Wake up" or "Play". This is the European cultural movement between the 14th and 16th centuries. The Middle Ages are from the 5th century to the 16th century. By comparison, the two eras are very different.
Renaissance is a cultural movement involving updating learning, infrastructure development, and gradual reform of education. The Renaissance can be seen as a bridge between the Middle Ages and the present age. Because this is a genius of Leonardo da Vinci, Petrarch, Dante, Michelangelo, the Renaissance was known for its art.
The very remarkable difference between the Renaissance and the Middle Ages was art. Renaissance artists follow a more classical form of art. They depict mainly the beauty and religion of mankind. Renaissance artists have a deep perspective and produce two dimensional effects. Michelangelo's David is a model of Renaissance art. In the Middle Ages, I painted Gothic art. Gothic architecture features a vaulted room with pointed arches and ribs. This type of depiction is a combination of fine woodwork and stone. Gothic artwork uses a buttress and an ornamental girl. A good example of the Middle Ages is the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Another comparison point between the Renaissance and the Middle Ages is literature. Development of printing press was the greatest cultural achievement of Renaissance. This encourages authors to write in the local language. The writer follows it and converts it to Greek and Latin terminology. The literature of this age reached new heights in the form of Elizabeth literature. It is also a depiction of humanity in literature, which is known as humanism. In the Middle Ages, British literature faced a dark stage. The languages of that period were Latin and Greek. The author of that era used the parchment and all text was handwritten by a trained scribe.
In the Middle Ages, the power of the Church reached the highest. The church had a big impact on the life of the individual. People follow the law of the Church as the church is considered to be direct from God. Over time, many bad habits entered the system and caused it to collapse. Before the Renaissance, the Roman Catholic Church was the only global institution in Europe. The Renaissance era brought the ideal of humanism. This era has had a great influence on contemporary theology

(Viii). Etienne Gilson says at Les Ideèes etleslettres: "The difference between the Renaissance and the Middle Ages is distinguished by a subtraction instead of an addition, during the Renaissance it was the medieval times rather than the medieval times, which subtracted God, the tragedy was the Renaissance It is in the loss of the God of the times and the loss of humanity (p. X). Since Faust abandoned God with knowledge not only about knowledge but all knowledge, he became a symbol of the Renaissance

Although the Renaissance was a medieval era, its characteristics were quite different from those of the Middle Ages. The medieval art style is Gothic style. In the Middle Ages, people emphasized community life and the places they lived were very important. The feudal society became more rigorous in the Middle Ages, but became more gradual during the Renaissance period. In the Middle Ages, people were pessimistic about life, the notion of sin and morality replaced people what they were in their lives. It is that God is deeply rooted in people's mind, but human beings have nothing. The characteristics of the Middle Ages are still not so many in people's lives.
