The purpose of the introduction is to propose a modification to the "sports factor" of the Pathways intervention plan and the basis of the revision is a socio-ecological model. This article describes the self-efficacy of physical activity, participation in physical activity, and the curriculum provided for this part of the Pathways intervention program. This problem is addressed systematically through six elements of a socio-ecological model to promote physical activity.
The American Sports Activity Guide (PAG) was released in 2008 and is the first publication of the National Sports Activity Guide.
