Eva Smith Diary August 29, 1910 Dear Diary, I worked at a factory machining factory for over a year, I found it to be very boring. Eva Smith / Daisy Renton with a name similar to Eve is the first woman in the Bible. Her second name, Smith is ordinary and very common. The inspector said that "Hundreds of millions of Eva Smith and John Smith are still away," their happy opportunities are intertwined with our lives. The theme of the drama is not Eva / Daisy; the focus is in the five people sitting at the table from the beginning. The appearance of Eva may be her downfall; she has a pair of big black eyes and soft brown hair. Arthur Birling reminds us that she was "a healthy and beautiful girl".
