If a child feels uneasy, these people can solve children more easily than others, and if the child is away from attachment for too long, they will feel depressed .

Pediatric psychology is a subset of developmental psychology focusing on the life stage from birth to adolescence (around 12 to 13 years old). Adolescent psychology is also a subset of developmental psychology and focuses on the early adolescent development to adolescent youth in our later years (13-19). The theory of developmental psychology is an important field of research because it is the product of all adults experienced as childhood and as a child. Therefore, developing psychological theory by studying infants, children, and adolescents will help to better understand adult thoughts.

Developmental psychology covers a wide range of fields such as psychology of education, psychopathology of children, forensic developmental psychology, child development, cognitive psychology, ecological psychology, cultural psychology and so on. Development psychologists influencing the 20th century include Urie Bronfenbrenner, Erik Erikson, Sigmund Freud, Jean Piaget, Barbara Rogoff, Esther Thelen, Lev Vygotsky. John B. Watson and Jean-Jacques Rousseau are often considered to provide the foundation of modern developmental psychology. In the mid-eighteenth century, Jean Jacques Rousseau described three developmental stages: Emile's baby (early childhood), pool (childhood) and adolescence: or education. Rousseau's idea was strongly influenced by educators at the time.
