Developing an Ethical Framework and Applying It to an Ethical Dilemma

Introduction The purpose of this paper is to explain the process of developing my own ethical framework and applying it to ethical dilemmas. I discovered through my research that an ethical framework is a collection of guides that work together to support and strengthen the ethical decision-making process, usually in the form of questions. The ethical framework can be designed and applied in both personal and occupational work environments. By implementing an ethical framework, individuals, team members, and leaders can ascertain whether they are personal or professional, and the decisions they make are well thought out.

PMI EDMF consists of five steps (PMI Ethical Decision Framework, 2012). Before using EDMF, I gathered the facts on moral dilemmas. Applying the framework may include evaluating facts gathered about the dilemma, considering alternatives, identifying and analyzing candidate decisions, applying ethical principles to decision making, and making decisions including. Figure 2 contains five EDMF steps. Each of these five steps is supplemented with a series of subproblems, as listed in the attachment.

Application ethics is related to modern ethics issues. Let's treat this as the bottom of the moral investigation. One problem in applied ethics is whether abortion is reasonable, and to what extent it is reasonable. This is a "field" problem.
