DeTocqueville's Benefits of Democracy Compared With the Principles Found in Walden

DeTocqueville paid attention to the three main advantages of democracy while observing it in the United States. These benefits include the spirit of the public, the concept of rights, and respect for the law. Recalling the results of these democracy when reading Thoreau's Walden, the reader is wondering if the writer is satisfied with the idea that the writer lives in a democratic government.
