Detente and the Cold War

After the Second World War, the United States developed into a superpower of the world. Many of the Confederates were strongly influenced by the war and were struggling during the war. The United States has been moved to the position of "police", and has helped the countries of the world. Although the Cold War is a psychological illusion in many ways, there are many factors that contribute to this illusion, and this illusion is effective. Cold war comes from various factors, the difficult war between Nazi and Japan, the behavior of Stalin is unreliable, the blockade of Berlin, the Polish government, the collapse of China, the establishment of weapons and the birth of nuclear weapons.

From the 1960s to the 1970s, relations between the US and the Soviet Union improved in a short time. Dente is "relaxation" in France. Descente was designed to eliminate tension during the cold war, but eventually it was "unpacking" period. Detente peaked in 1968, the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, the 1972 SALT (Strategic Weapons Convention) and the 1975 Helsinki Agreement. If you do not know yet, the Cold War is a period of fierce competition between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War lasted from the end of the Second World War in 1945 until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Cold War was not a real war with people, guns, tanks, fighters, but a fierce war. President Reagan of the two superpowers in the world thinks that the United States needs to have strong military power. He thinks he is willing to negotiate with the Soviets (he does), but he wants to negotiate from a strong position. In 1983, Reagan proposed a missile defense system called Strategic Defense Program (SDI). Basically this is a missile defense system, laser and other state-of-the-art technology can offset future missiles. This project relied on technologies that were not yet available, but this project aroused the fear of the Soviet Union and gave the US an advantage in negotiations. The project has never been fully deployed

Americans mainly remember the cooperation of Mrs. Thatcher and President Reagan against the Soviet threat at the end of the Cold War. Before Reagan was elected in 1980, she publicly criticized the West Communism Mitigation Policy, saying that the Soviet Union had a big tendency to dominate the world in a famous speech in 1976. Russian media said she responded to "Iron Lady" and she dismissed the nickname and occasionally accused Reagan of the patience in negotiations with the Soviet Union.
