Descartes and the Mind

The dualism of Descartes' mind and matter means the concept of humanity. According to Descartes, humans are a complex existence of thought and body. Descartes prioritizes the mind and thinks that the mind can exist without the body but the body can not exist without the mind. In meditation, Descartes believes that although the mind is a substance, the body consists only of "accidents". However, he believes that the mind and body are closely related. For Descartes, the body and the mind are different substances, and the non-physical mind has something to do with the body. Material dualism dominates Descartes' dualism.
