No one spoke a word. Even gestures and sign languages have no time or permission to compromise the equality of others through any form of communication. We try not to make mistakes that disturb others, thereby hurting our own peace. Just like we are all looking for something very valuable on our ground below us. At the age of 17, I decided to use these precious 10 days for VIPashana's meditation.
Whether the interaction is close or not depends on three important factors. The first is the disclosure content of personal information. For example, disclosure of personal desires, fantasies, anxiety, and emotions is important to establish intimate relationships than disclosing facts. This is because the emotional disclosure provides the partner the opportunity to verify and certify that he care, support, and accepts the individual. The second is the partner's response to disclosure. When the partner responds, intimacy increases and further communication is promoted. If the other party does not respond, the other party expresses a lack of interest in further dialogue and a decrease in intimacy. The third is the interpretation and reaction of the individual to the actions of the opponent. If an individual judges that the other party is neither support nor intruding, the conversation may not be intimate.
Many studies involve self-disclosure. One of the main theories of this research framework is the theory of social penetration (Altman & Taylor, 1987). This theory considers self-disclosure as depth and breadth, so it is a model of this research. In this research, the depth of self-disclosure is an important factor in achieving a relationship. Altman and Taylor use onions as a metaphor for relationship development. They believe onions represent the breadth and depth of self-disclosure. In the outer layer of the onion, individuals have extensive disclosure: a wide range of people like their preference, worldview, and research. As individuals learn more about onions, they disclose them in detail. That is, they can get more detailed information about that individual. This represents the extent of human disclosure. The main way to penetrate society is through personal disclosure.
