The New York State Environmental Protection Agency (DEC) has three main functions: natural resource management, environmental quality protection, promotion of public health, safety and recreation. DEC protects and protects national land, water, air, fish, wildlife and other resources, improving people's health, safety, welfare, and its overall economic and social well-being. In 2009, the New York State Fish and Wildlife Marine Life Resources and Environmental Protection Agency has identified the Climate Change Steering Committee to begin developing adaptation strategies. The summary of their report, including the following, is still in progress. The fourth goal of the Forest Service Plan is to promote a shared infrastructure for researchers (eg enhanced reinforced sensing, simulation modeling, data management, distribution functions). Research and education encourages cooperation to effectively implement natural resource planners and management
