Through democratic governance, we mean that governance is consistent with democratic principles. According to Oxford English Dictionary (2010, 2012), "democratic governance" is a kind of governance or government that supports democracy or its principles. Democracy, on the other hand, is defined by various scholars in various ways and is defined as "governance of the people or domination of the majority". It is also the government whose highest power belongs to the people and exercised directly or indirectly through them. It usually includes a regular representation system for free and fair elections. "Democracy also includes the lack of genetic or arbitrary class distinction.

Democratic governments give various rights to their citizens, including the right to elect their national government. As we all know, freedom of speech and freedom of speech constitute the foundation of a democratic nation. If citizens do not have the right to express their views, if they believe that the elected government is not being implemented according to the initially set standards, it is useless to just elect a government. That is why the right to freedom of speech is the basic right of a democratic country. It constitutes the foundation of democracy

The principle and practice of democratic governance is the foundation of the governance of the local government sector. Democratic governance is the democratic nature of local governments and the responsibilities of local governments and their communities. It minimizes corruption, minority recommendations are taken into account, and the social voice of the most vulnerable group is heard in the decision making process. It also opens the needs of society of present and future. Good governance is one of the important foundations for both male and female participation. Participation can be direct participation, through legal intermediaries, or as an agent. Importantly, the recommendation of the most vulnerable group in society to be included in decision-making does not necessarily mean representative democracy. Participation must be well informed and organized. This means organized civil society and freedom of association, and on the other hand news and expressions.
