If Indonesian democracy acknowledges that one day we may be forced to have some form of democracy in Siam, it seems to me that we have to prepare gradually. We have to learn and educate ourselves. We have to learn and experiment to better understand how the Congressional Government functions in Siam. We must work hard to educate people about their political interests and realize their own interests so that they are not misunderstood by instigators of utopian dreamers. If we have a parliament, we need to teach the public how to vote for the representatives who truly care about their interests and to elect them.
Indonesia is ours regardless of race, religion or race. What is important is the quality of democracy in Indonesia: When will Indonesia understand whether minorities are included in democracy? Then, if it expands, has the public policy become no longer determined by the prejudice of fundamentalists and mobs? Yes, in a democratic country, everyone has the right to "express themselves", but if such a situation causes violence or injury Indonesia must learn to give up.
Indonesia's commitment to democracy is a major ideology in the political field. Freedom of speech is an important basic right of democracy. It is a tool to make democracy work. Because it involves individuals or society as a whole and is responsible for democracy. As a democracy, Indonesia guarantees freedom of speech and expression through its Constitution, Article 28 of the Indonesian Constitution promulgated in 1945. In order to strengthen its implementation, Indonesia has enacted several bills such as Human Rights Law No. 39/2009 and ratifies international treaties. Civil and political rights passed through law 12/2005. Therefore, the speech and speech rights are fundamental rights of politics and legislation in Indonesia as it is guaranteed and protected by the Constitution and other legal documents. Infringement of these rights not only implies a violation of the law but also violates constitutional rights of citizens
In 427 in 2017, Indonesia fell from 48th to 68th. Following the capital investigation of the capital, Indonesian democratic Jakarta retreated and the current governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (known as Ahok), was a minority, arrested for alleged defamation. Indonesia's strict law of defamation is often used to limit the freedom of speech. The rise of conservative religious ideology has also influenced India. Strengthening the powers of right-wing Hindus in a secular state leads to vigilance and violence against ethnic minority communities, especially Muslim communities, and other opposing opinions
